Heritage South Texas Ranch: The Covert Cattle Company was purchased in 1989 by a 4th generation Texas rancher. It encompasses four square miles of rugged brush country on the old Pony Express route from Laredo to San Antonio and has continuously been a working cattle ranch for over 100 years.

Its three enterprises now include its commercial cow-calf operation, performance quarter horse breeding program and ambitious whitetail deer management for 17 years, producing many statewide deer-contest winners and the Texas state record for horn mass - over 48 inches!
